Lincoln County Dems bake to be Saturday
This year’s Lincoln County Democrats lobster bake, on Saturday, will feature appearances by the local candidates for state Legislature seats and for county commissioner, as well as U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-1st District, U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., and invited guest Cynthia Dill, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Olympia Snowe.
The event is at 331 Clark’s Cove Road, just down the road from the Darling Marine Center. Social hour, with music by Old Gray Goose and a raw oyster cash bar, begins at noon and the food line opens at 1 p.m.
Caterer Mike Mayo will prepare the lobsters, mussels and other traditional fare. Steamed hot dogs also will be available. The cost of the lobster dinner (lobster, mussels, corn, salad, dessert and soft drink) is $32. The hot dog lunch is $6.
