I was pleased to read in an editorial in the Kennebec Journal on July 29, that, as of 2011, the state collaborative jail system has saved taxpayers $8.5 million.
Patsy Crockett was the lead sponsor of this legislation. That is just another example of the great work Crockett has done to save taxpayers money. And it’s another reason why I will vote to elect Crockett as the next representative for House District 57 (part of Augusta). Crockett has proven she can do the job.
I have known Crockett for many years, and she does good work in the Legislature.
