It is with mixed feelings that I write this letter. I have been in Maine for 26 years and have had the distinct pleasure of making some very special lifelong friends.
They have given me memories I will cherish, and the impact they have had on my life will never be forgotten. I can only hope that in some way I have touched their lives as well.
My friends will be what I remember most about living in Maine. A special thanks to Dr. Bob, who helped me through some of the darkest days of my life and probably knows me as well as I know myself. It has been six years, two months and counting since I had my last drink. Other than my children, that is my greatest accomplishment (so far) in life.
So with two dogs, two cats, one parrot and my mom, it’s off to Florida for a new adventure and the next chapter in my life.
As Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character said in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”: “Hasta La Vista, Baby!”
