AUGUSTA — An overturned trailer temporarily blocked both lanes of Civic Center Drive at Leighton Road this morning.
Augusta police and firefighters responded, and motorists in both lanes were detoured onto Leighton Road.
Officers with the commercial unit of the Maine State Police were also called to the scene.
The accident occurred about 8:30 a.m.
Apparently the vehicle towing the trailer did not overturn. Civic Center Drive is also known as Route 27.
No injuries have been reported.
The road was re-opened by 9:30 a.m.
