BREWER — Eastern Maine Medical Center’s CancerCare of Maine is hosting a bone marrow donor drive in Brewer.

Community members between the ages 18 and 55 who are at least 110 pounds can add their names to the bone marrow registry on Saturday. The process requires the completion of a short form and a cheek swab, but no blood draws.

Being a bone marrow donor could help save the life of someone diagnosed with leukemia or another blood disorder. The bone marrow drive is being held during the Champion the Cure event at the Lafayette Family Cancer Center in Brewer.
