As I have noticed the ridiculously high salaries of public employees, I remembered that President Nixon imposed a 90-day freeze on all wages and prices to help the economy recover.

With federal, state, county, local and school bureaucrats making more in salaries than some governors and U.S. congressmen, I believe it is well past time to impose this wage and price freeze again for the taxpayers’ sake.

There is absolutely no rational reason why these overpaid public employees continue to receive salary raises, when they are paid taxpayers, many of whom haven’t gotten any raises in a while. I view such unnecessary salary increases as taxation without representation, since only a few politicians get the only say in approving these ridiculously high salaries.

These salaries must be frozen, and then those taxes could go toward repairing this country’s crumbling infrastructure and school buildings.

We, as taxpayers need to band together to stop these constant salary increases.
