BELGRADE—Nearly 1,200 homes and businesses were left without power when a utility pole was damaged in an accident Monday morning.
Central Maine Power spokeswoman Gail Rice said 1,192 customers in Belgrade, New Sharon and Rome were without power from 5:30 to 7:30 a.m.
The outage was the result of a pole that was damaged during an automobile accident on Route 27, Rice said. No injuries were reported.
