FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington recently announced the following events, which are free and open to the public:
* Student Employment and Volunteer Fair, 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, Olsen Student Center. Students can learn about work-study opportunities, volunteer experiences and part-time employment. For more information, email lori.soucie@maine.edu or call 778-7040.
* Liz Phillips’ Sound and Video Installation Opening Reception, 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20, Art Gallery. Biyuu II is a site-specific interactive installation exploring sounds and visions of water and bamboo. For more information, email maline@maine.edu or call 778-1062.
