BANGOR — The American Folk Festival is wrapping up in Bangor with a third day of music, dance and performing arts in Bangor.

Performers during the three-day riverfront festival, which began Friday and ends Sunday, have run the gamut from western swing, blues and bluegrass, to Franco, Cajun, Irish, gospel, doo wop, and Tamburitza. The festival also includes dance, crafts and food.

There was good weather for the festival, which featured 16 musical groups playing on four stages along the Penobscot River.

The American Folk Festival, which launched in 2005, is a continuation of the festival tradition after Bangor hosted the 64th, 65th and 66th National Folk Festivals from 2002 to 2004.
