MADISON — MaineGeneral HealthReach RSVP will offer a free Bone Builders demonstration and classes for adults 55 and older in the Madison area who want to prevent osteoporosis.

The demonstration will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Old Point School building, 108 Old Point Road. Classes begin Friday, Sept. 7, same time and place. Classes will be Wednesdays and Fridays through Sept. 28. A doctor’s release is required to participate.

Bone Builders includes use of light hand and ankle weights and exercises to increase strength, balance and bone density and to protect against fractures caused by osteoporosis. The program fits every strength and fitness level.
