WINDSOR — The Maine Harness Horsemen’s Association, Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs, Maine Standard bred Breeders & Owners Association, Scarborough-Downs, Ocean Properties and Race for ME PAC will host a legislative candidate’s day at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Windsor Fairgrounds.

All candidates running from the Maine Legislature will be invited to attend and will be open to the public. Candidates will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the harness racing industry and learn about the impact harness racing has on Maine’s agricultural fairs and the agricultural industry across Maine, according to a news release.

Maine’s harness racing industry has a 150-year history in Maine and can be found at two commercial tracks in Scarborough and Bangor or at one of the nine pari-mutual fairs held throughout the state.
