GREENLAND, N.H. — New Hampshire State Police have identified the woman who drove the wrong way on Interstate 95, striking three vehicles before she was killed.

Police said 56-year-old Rose Vitiello of New Haven, Conn., was driving southbound in the northbound lanes in Portsmouth on Monday night.

The driver of the first and third cars struck were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of a second vehicle struck was not injured.

The third accident happened in the town of Greenland, where police said Vitiello’s car came to a rest in the right breakdown lane. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating the accident.
