WATERVILLE — The Consolidated Firefighters of Waterville will sponsor its third annual Bowl for Charity bowling tournament. The event will help raise money for fire equipment and also charities the organizations support every year.
The tournament is set for Sunday at Sparetime Recreation. Organizers hope the tournament will bring in 48 teams. The top three teams will win prize money that will benefit their favorite charity or group organization. The cost for a five-person team is $115. Sign-up sheets need to be turned in by Friday.
There will also be door prizes; only those who bowl are eligible to win. These prizes include a flat-screen TV and a home theater Blu-Ray system. There will also be prize give-aways for those who come to watch.
