Mary L. Poirier recently celebrated her 100th birthday at the home of her daughter Norma Fitzherbert and Gary Benoit in West Gardiner. She was Sept. 9, 1912. Also attending was her daughter Ginny Gallant and husband Bob of Old Town.

Her grandchildren Darrell Gallant, Cindy Woodard and Amy Fitzherbert. Great granddaughter Nicole Bambury and Donnovan Bambury, and great-great-granddaughter Shea Bambury. Nephew Charles and Donna Page.

Others attending were Aggie and Ray Gallant, Helen and Ray Bilodeau, Leona and Harry Turcotte, Leda Theriault, Pat and Don Foster, Irene Devoe, Frank Poirier,Jr., Thersa Irwin, Armand Poirier, Shirley Lethrup, Clara Withee, Beverly Withee, Linda and Bob Bradner and Fin Bradner, and Bob Prout.

Mary spent most of her life in Skowhegan and spent nine years in Old Town until moving to the Inn at City Hall in Augusta.
