FARMINGTON — Mt. Blue graduate Ava Amador scored three goals as the University of Maine at Farmington women’s soccer team beat the University of Maine at Presque Isle 10-0 in a non-conference game Thursday at Prescott Field.

Alida Peake added two goals for UMF, which improves to 2-1-0. Erskine Academy graduate Meryl Bond added a goal, while Kayla Tuttle of Waterville had an assist. Krista Morrison and Noelle Moulton capped the scoring for the Beavers.

Amanda Larrabee had 15 saves for UMPI (1-3-0). Beth Lebel and Samantha Hatch combined to make one save for UMF.

Colby 5, UNE 1: Ruthie Hawley, Annie Papadellis and Abby Hatch each had a goal and an assist as the Mules earned a non-conference win over the Nor’easters in Waterville.

Emily Anderson and Maddie Tight also scored for Colby, which improves to 2-0-0.

Kristen Dechene scored for UNE.

Emily Brooks and Jayde Bennett combined for two saves for Colby, while Sarah Papietro had 10 saves for UNE.

Thomas 3, Unity 1: Jenn Day of Gardiner had two goals and an assist as the Terriers beat the Rams in Waterville.

Kajsa Kaufeldt also scored for Thomas.

College golf

UMF Invitational: Orion Cochrane of the University of Maine at Farmington won medalist honors, shooting 76, at Sunday River Country Club in the Maine-Farmington Invitational.

The University of Southern maine won the team title with a score of 320. The University of New England was second at 325, while Husson was third at 326. UMF (332) and St. Joe’s (347) rounded out the top five.

Also for UMF, Joe Messerman shot 83 to finish tied for 11th.

Cony High School graduate Tyler Moody shot 79 for UNE.
