ROCKLAND —  Danny Moreshead threw two touchdowns to Dylan Price in the first quarter and the Madison football team held on late to earn a 22-20 victory over Oceanside in a Pine Tree Conference Class B game Friday night.

“It was one of those games where we did some good things,” Madison coach Scott Franzose said. “We still have a lot to polish up but we came away with the win, and that’s all that matters.”

Oceanside (1-2) rushed for two touchdowns in the second quarter to pul within 16-14 at the half.
Cody Soucier rushed for a 16-yard touchdown to lead Madison in the fourth quarter as well.

“In the first half, we had a problem when our offense stalled, but our defense played great,” Franzose said.

Belfast 45, Nokomis 7: Carl Dodge ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, while Greg Clark and Zach Collier each scored two touchdowns to lead the Lions to the PTC B win in Belfast.

Belfast (1-2) broke the game open with 25 points in the second quarter. Clark finished with seven carries for 93 yards.

Nokomis (0-3) scored when Drew Wing threw a 27-yard halfback pass to Jake Winslow in the second quarter.
