SKOWHEGAN — The new computer lab help center, located in the Somerset Grist Mill at 42 Court St., will open to the public Monday. The hours will be 5-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Appointments can be made by calling 399-6974 (leave a message) or by completing a client help survey on the Tech Spot website at sites.google.com/site/skowhegantechspot. Hard copies of the survey are also available at the Tech Spot. Walk ins are welcome on a first-come first-served basis.

Macs and PCs are available. The Tech Spot supervisor and Skowhegan Area volunteer students will be available to help clients, offering individual and small-group tutoring to the community to improve their access and use of technology.

Sessions will include but are not limited to: cell/smartphone use, email accounts, online registration and applications, social media, iPhoto and iMovie, photo editing and printing, saving documents on external devices, organizing folders, writing programs, etc.

The Tech Spot is a school/community collaborative at no charge. Donations are accepted.
