State police are asking the public for help in identifying a backpack-wearing burglar whose photo was taken by a surveillance camera inside a building that had recently been robbed. The photo was taken in late August in the Belgrade, Rome, Smithfield area, which had been hit by a number of burglaries in recent months.
Troopers are not identifying the town where the most recent burglary took place. The photo shows a middle-aged man, wearing large wire rimmed glasses, and wearing a backpack.
The Maine State Police are asking that anyone to call them at 624-7076.
