I would like to thank the voters of Augusta for the privilege of serving them as mayor. I believe that we have accomplished much and that Augusta is on the right track for the future.

I now seek a complete three-year term as mayor and again ask for voters’ support. We will continue to work for economic expansion while doing everything possible in these challenging financial times not to add any burden to our property taxpayers.

I also would urge support for the two very valuable members of the City Council seeking re-election — Darek Grant in Ward 2 and David Rollins as Councilor-At-Large. Both do a great job on the council.

Grant chaired the Eastside Redevelopment Committee that produced many innovative ideas about future development on the eastside.

Rollins has served as interim mayor and is now doing outstanding work as chairman of the Mayor’s Alumni Field Study Committee. We’ve already had dramatic improvements at Alumni Field, and there is more to come.

I ask for voters’ continued support as mayor, and I wholeheartedly endorse the re-election of Grant and Rollins to our City Council.
