GARDINER — A section of West Hill Road will be closed today and Friday as construction crews install a new pipe.

The road will be closed between Route 126 and Andrews Street both days as crews install the new 48-inch pipe at the intersection of Route 126 and West Hill Road, according to a Gardiner Police press release. The project is part of the ongoing sidewalk project on Route 126.

The closure is expected to extend into Friday, according to police.

Traffic will be detoured around the area using Andrews Street. Police encourage drivers to operate safely and respectfully on the residential Andrews and Ash streets.
