AUGUSTA — A sitting justice on the Maine supreme court and two new judges on the District Court have been sworn into office.

Gov. Paul LePage administered the oath Friday to supreme court Justice Warren Silver, as well as District Court judges Dan Billings and John Lucy. Billings was LePage’s former chief legal counsel.

LePage said he had “utmost confidence that these individuals will serve the people of Maine justly and with integrity.”

The governor previously swore in eight other judicial reappointments. All were confirmed by the Maine Senate earlier this month.
