BATH — Racean Wood ran for 164 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner as the Waterville Senior High School football team beat Morse 20-14 in a Pine Tree Conference Class B game Friday.

“The line did a great job opening up holes for us,” said Wood, “and our defense did a great job shutting them down. It wasn’t easy, and I’m just really proud of the whole team.”

Waterville took the early lead on its second possession, set up by a Levine interception at the Morse 39. Five plays later, Evan Greatorex went up the middle from 5 yards out, and Levine’s kick made it 7-0 after  one period.

Morse quarterback Kevin McKellar pulled the Shipbuilders even with a determined four-yard effort in the second quarter, breaking three tackles to cap a 10-play 45-yard drive. Aaron Barrett followed with the PAT.
