FARMINGTON — Gage Kennedy scored on a penalty kick with 2 minutes, 19 seconds left in the second overtime as the Mt. Blue boys soccer team beat Lawrence 3-2 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Friday night.
Ike Doiron scored in the first half to give Mt. Blue (2-5-0) a 1-0 lead. Matt Saunders scored to tie it for Lawrence (2-4-2), then Kee Ferreira gave the Cougars the lead back with 11:11 left in the second half. Drew Bois tied it with 5:34 left in regulation.
Drew Parsons had an assist for Mt. Blue. Zach Jackson stopped seven shots to earn the win. Zach Blomerth and Bois each had an assist for Lawrence and Brad King made five saves.
Waterville 3, Edward Little 1: Danilo Guthro scored two goals to lead the Purple Panthers to a win over the Red Eddies in Waterville.
Adding to the offensive output for Waterville (3-2-2) was Tommy Samson, who had a goal and two assists on the afternoon.
Luke Sterling had the lone goal for Edward Little (3-4).
Zach Disch had two saves for Waterville, while Llewellyn Jensen had seven saves for the Red Eddies.
Girls soccer
Waterville 1, Edward Little 0: Sarah Shoulta scored the lone goal to give the Purple Panthers a KVAC A win over the Red Eddies in Auburn.
Morgan Pellerin had an assist on the game-winner for Waterville (4-2-1). Gabi Martin earned the shutout with one save.
Taylor Landry made 14 saves for Edward Little (3-4).
Madison 3, Boothbay 2: Anika Schafer scored the game-winning goal with 7:03 left in the second half as the Bulldogs beat the Seahawks in an MVC game in Boothbay Harbor.
Kirsten Wood and Sam Bruce scored in the first half as Madison (4-4-0) took a 2-0 lead. Abby McLellan scored in the first half and the second half as Boothbay (1-7-0) tied it.
Erika Parker had two assists and Schafer had one for Madison. Savanna Kandiko had seven saves.
Lawrence 2, Mt. Blue 0: Ali Tozier had a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs beat the Cougars in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.
Faith Forsythe added a goal and Jilli McAllister an assist for Lawrence (5-2-1). Paige Belanger had nine saves to earn the win.
Gabby Foy and Thia Bridges combined for 12 saves for Mt. Blue (3-3-1).
