FARMINGDALE — Maura Stottler had a goal and an assist to lead Hall-Dale past Mountain Valley 2-0 in Mountain Valley Conference girls soccer action Friday.

Thea Sweet had the other goal for the Bulldogs (5-2-1). Clio Barr chipped in with an assist. Olivia Maynard made three saves.

Jena Plourde stopped 10 shots for the Falcons (1-8-0).

Hampden 4, Cony 0: Laura Marquis scored twice to lead the Broncos to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win in Augusta.

Erin Jeter and Elise Arsenault also scored a goal each for Hampden (7-1-0). Sami Bowler stopped 14 shots.

Autumn Sudsbury made 11 saves and Skyler Watson stopped two shots in combined time in net for Cony (3-5-0).

Field hockey

Winthrop 4, Dirigo 0: Lauren Kaiser had a hat trick to lead the Ramblers to the MVC win in Dixfield.

Rachel Ingram had the other goal for Winthrop (8-1-0). Shauna Carlson added two assists. Alyssa Arsenault didn’t have to make a save.

Amanda Dolloff stopped five shots for Dirigo (3-5-1).

Oxford Hills 3, Cony 0: Abby Angevine scored two goals and Amanda Hanning added another as the Vikings prevailed in a KVAC A game Thursday afternoon.

Abi Egan had eight saves to earn the shutout for Oxford Hills (1-5-1).

Kevie Rodrigue had 20 saves for Cony (2-5-1).

Women’s field hockey

University of Maine 5, Quinnipiac 3: Annabelle Hamilton tallied a hat trick as the Black Bears were able to pick up their fifth-straight victory.

Zoe Berkey and Gardiner graduate Becca Paradee each scored a goal for Maine (6-4). Jennalis Taylor, Danielle Allan and Christa Romano each tallied goals for the Bobcats (4-4).

The Black Bears outshot the Bobcats by a 17-7 margin.

Johnson State 2, Thomas 1: The Badgers scored back-to-back goals to earn the North Atlantic Conference win in Waterville.

After falling behind 1-0, Shannon Grier and Ally Bataille scored to give Johnson State (5-2, 2-0) the win. Katja Langmaid made five saves.

Kajsa Kaufeldt scored the lone goal for Thomas (2-5, 0-2)with an assist from Bronte Howorth. Kate Thibodeau made 10 saves.

Men’s soccer

Thomas 3, Johnson State 0: Michael Hand scored two goals to increase his conference leading mark to nine, scoring in all six contests thus far as the Terriers won.

Hand scored the game winner just one minute into the contest after picking up a loose ball in front of the net and burying it past Badger keeper Ryan Belen. Maranacook grad Dakota Duplisse would extend the Terrier lead at the 15:24 mark from a cross by Joshua Phelps. Hand would strike again at 23:48 for an unassisted score to secure the win.
