LEEDS — The Winthrop High School boys golf team swept Oak Hill 7-0 on Wednesday at Springbrook to earn a berth in the Mountain Valley Conference semifinals.

Taylor Morang earned medalist honors for Winthrop, shooting a 39 to win his match with Matt Gilbert 5-and-3. Adam Hachey, Anthony Owens, Zach Steele and Ben Caprara also earned wins for Winthrop.

The Ramblers shot a team total of 170. Oak Hill finished at 221.

Winthrop will play Madison in the semifinals Monday at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.

Field hockey

Lisbon 1, Winthrop 1: Mary Claire Blanchard scored to help the Ramblers earn a tie in MVC play in Winthrop.

Lauren Kaiser had the assist on the goal, which was scored midway through the second half. The Ramblers, 8-1-1 and ranked No. 2 in Eastern Class C, played strong defense led by Jess Scott and Micaela Hajduk, according to coach Sharon Coulton.

Hannah Jordan had a first-half goal for Lisbon (9-0-1), which is ranked No. 2 in Western Class C.

Spruce Mountain 5, Hall-Dale 2: Kayla Merserve, Erin Gates and Johanna Couture scored in the first half as the Phoenix beat the Bulldogs in Farmingdale.

Gates added two more goals in the second half for Spruce Mountain (9-1-0). Rachel Calden had a pair of assists and Casey Richards had three saves for the Phoenix.

Nicole Pelletier had a goal and an assist, while Lexi Moran had a goal for Hall-Dale (1-9-0). Hannah Perry stopped 14 shots for the Bulldogs.

Boys Soccer

Richmond 7, Valley 2: Randy Moody scored four goals to lead the Bobcats to an East-West win over the Cavaliers in Bingham.

Nate Tribbett, Brett Stiwell and Eddie Stewart also scored for Richmond (8-1-0). Tribbett, Xavier Trask and Marcus Blake each had assists for the Bobcats.

Carrington Miller scored twice for Valley (5-3-0).

Girls soccer

Hall-Dale 5, Boothbay 0: Maura Stottler scored two goals in a 15-minute span of the first half to lead the Bulldogs to the MVC victory in Farmingdale.

Clio Barr scored a goal and added an assist for Hall-Dale (6-2-1). Andrea Frederick and Shelby McGibney also scored for the Bulldogs.

McKayla McFetridge had 22 saves to pace Boothbay (1-8-0).

Kents Hill 4, Hyde 0: Sarah Grenier had two goals, while Joanna Christopher had two assists in the Huskies win in Bath.

Sarah Arseneau and Riley Kirk each added a goal for Kents Hill (1-1-0). Danielle Bourgois had an assist and Savanna Poole stopped three shots.

Karrin Darling had 20 saves for Hyde (0-4-0).
