AUGUSTA — The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is set for 8 a.m. Saturday at Buker Community Center, 22 Armory St.

More than 200 participants will walk 2.8 miles while they learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities, the latest in Alzheimer’s research and clinical trial enrollment to support programs and services. Walkers will also join a ceremony to honor those affected by the disease.

Other walks are being held Saturday in Calais, Lewiston and Sanford. Walks will be hosted in Fort Kent, Wilton and Bangor on Saturday, Oct. 6. For more information, visit alz.org/walk.
