Maine is a great place, if you have a job.

This economy is fragile, and families are struggling. The cost for basic needs keeps going up.

The Department of Agriculture reported that, during July, the weekly cost to feed a family of four ranged between $126 to $286.

Ten years ago, the cost was between $93 and $206.

Our median household income in Augusta is a little more than $33,000, and more than 17 percent of our neighbors live in poverty.

That’s why I’m supporting Republicans Roger Katz for state Senate and Matt Pouliot for House District 57. They, along with Republican Corey Wilson, District 56 on the East Side, know that the economy must be front and center when they are setting policies at the Legislature.

Nothing else is as important for Maine and for our families. Vote for Katz, Pouliot and Wilson.
