What’s most important to me as an ordinary citizen is that the people who represent me in the Legislature listen to me.

They don’t have to agree. They don’t even have to think that I made a good point. The bare minimum, however, is that they acknowledge my letter or phone call.

Sen. Tom Martin, R-District 25, has done a very poor job of listening to me, one of his constituents. He has never acknowledged any email that I have sent. When I spoke to him personally at a public event on Memorial Day, all I got was a blank stare.

I am writing to endorse Democrat Colleen Lachowicz for the Senate. I know her, and I am confident she will listen to all her constituents. She is a truly caring person. She will get back to you when you call or write. She will represent you.
