BANGOR — The Bangor Police Department is taking to the Web to take crime reports from the public.
The department said its new reporting system will allow people to file reports for minor thefts, car break-ins, vandalism, lost property and harassing phone calls at their own convenience over the Internet.
People can file online crime reports if there’s no evidence to be collected, there are no suspects and the crime happened in Bangor.
Officials say the reports will be reviewed by police and given the same investigation and analysis as reports filed in person.
