Few first-time candidates understand the Maine Legislature as well as Doreen Sheive, Democratic candidate for Augusta’s House District 56.

She is a strong candidate with an independent voice.

I have known Sheive personally and worked with her for 25 years. She is a vigilant and tireless worker and spokesperson for those she represents, as demonstrated through her work with the unorganized territories.

One of nine children raised by a single parent in Central Maine, responsiblity, commitment and a strong work ethic are central to her core.

Through her personal and professional life, working for Sen. Edmund Muskie, in the State Auditor’s Office, and as the representative of Maine’s unorganized territories, Sheive has seen the challenges facing state government, as well as Maine people, and will be able to find solutions that work for everyone. I urge others to join me in voting for Sheive on Nov. 6.
