We need a senator who will listen to and represent all of the citizens of Waterville, Winslow, Albion, Benton and Clinton.

Two months ago, I emailed our current senator, Republican Tom Martin, to ask questions about the passed State budget and its impact on our community. I am still waiting for a response. No answers, no explanations, no acknowledgment; in short no representation from Martin.

The one time I heard him speak, he told the audience he fully supports Gov. Paul LePage. He did not distinguish himself from any of the governor’s intolerant remarks nor from any of his controversial policies.

On Nov. 6, I will vote for a change in our representation for Senate District 25. Democrat Colleen Lachowicz is someone I have known and worked with in the greater Waterville community for a number of years, and she is someone I know will work to represent us all.
