Saturday was Walk for Hope day for cancer survivors, which has raised a very large amount of money.
The glitch of the morning, however, was the arrival of Sen. Roger Katz, Republican candidate for Augusta’s Senate District 24. He showed up with campaign buttons and passed them around.
I found this to be not only tacky, but also thoughtless on our Survivor Day.
I suggest Katz go somewhere else where he doesn’t offend a bunch of brave people.
