With 30 years experience as a family physician and business owner, Dorney understands the issues individuals and businesses face.
Health care is perhaps the biggest economic issue of our time, particularly as the large population of baby boomers age. Dorney understands the complicated health care system and its impacts on families and businesses; her expertise is urgently needed in the Legislature.
Dorney consistently goes above and beyond. She was Family Physician of the Year and recently awarded for her efforts to promote breast feeding. She serves on teen pregnancy and drug/alcohol addiction task forces; she provided over 16,000 children’s books to Head Starts, she’s a high school math tutor and has been a “Big Sister.”
Dorney will work hard to improve the lives of people and families in Central Maine.
