I urge House District 57 residents to vote for Democrat Patsy Crockett.
The budget’s conditions at the Capitol need her four years of legislative experience. She has the proven record and knowledge required. She works with businesses to create jobs. She expanded the property tax base by serving as a consultant to deliver the Augusta Crossing mall.
She sponsored PACE energy efficiency legislation, which also helped create jobs. She sponsored jail consolidation legislation, which has saved us $8.5 million.
Crockett knows the importance of investing in Augusta’s young people. She understands the financial burden of expensive insurance premiums and diminished coverage that has crippled many.
On a personal note, my daughter, Julia, is an Olympic luger, which gets no recognition and very little financial support. Julia was grateful when Crockett helped her raise money before the 2010 Olympics and to ease her financial situation.
Crockett will serve us well.
