Among the many qualified candidates in this fall’s election, there may be none more deserving than Rep. Pat Flood, Republican candidate for Maine Senate District 21.
Flood’s extraordinary leadership while chairing our State’s Budget committee was marked with a respect for opposing views and an ability to bring people together.
In a world where mudslinging is expected, his focus remains on the positive.
Even in private I’ve never heard him say a bad word about anyone. I really don’t think it’s in him.
What is in him however, is a dog-like persistence to make government work for all of us.
In a partisan world of strong egos, Flood will admit only that he’s “good at finding a way to yes.” His accomplishments in the Maine Legislature bear this out.
What we often lack in politics are leaders who make us better. Let’s not miss this chance to elect one who does.
