I was saddened to see Lakeside Orchard caught up in political hysteria.
Space does not allow me to list all of the things the owners do to support our community, and yet this is how they make the front page.
Everyone of all political persuasions should support this local business. And no business or individual should be subjected to the roadside trash that sprouts every political season.
Maine passed a billboard law, and should pass a law banning these signs on roadsides, allowing them only on private property.
In the meantime, if any candidate or campaign is requested to remove a sign, they should do so immediately.
When Matt Hutson gets done playing the victim here and goes to pick up his signs, he should be sure to stop into Lakeside for a delicious apple pie.
