In its 25 years of operation, the Land for Maine’s Future bond program has been strikingly successful, and well supported by voters of all persuasions who have seen the value of preserving the Maine they love.

It has secured both recreational and scenic lands, as well as working farmland, forests and waterfronts.

This year, Question 3 asks us to approve a bond for $5 million. Each dollar invested in the past has brought in $3 in matching funds, and $11 in benefits to Maine’s economy. I urge voters to continue our investment in Maine, and vote yes on this important bond issue.
