I would like to know when parents are going to start being parents.
I don’t believe that this 10-year-old should be held responsible. Her mother should be the one sitting in jail. If what I am reading is correct in the newspaper, the mother left the care of the infant to the 10-year-old. The mother sat downstairs watching TV, when she knew her 10-year-old had serious mental health issues.
The responsibility of children lies with the adults supervising them. There was no supervision for this 10-year-old. She was left to her own coping skills.
The wrong person is being charged with this crime.
The district attorney should arrest the mother. She was the adult who was suppose to be baby-sitting and in charge of her 10-year-old. The mother needs to step up and be accountable for her neglect.
