Inland Hospital thanks its community for its support of the hospital’s seventh annual Fall Pops Concert at the Waterville Opera House on Oct. 20.

Nearly 700 people, including music students from area schools, attended the event, which featured music of the Portland Symphony Orchestra and guest soprano Suzanne Nance.

The community’s generous support of the event exceeded $63,000, which will go to Inland’s Focusing on Your Future campaign to renovate inpatient services.

The project involves making our medical-surgical unit a state-of-the-art healing environment that promotes better patient care.

Private rooms, a major aspect of this modernization, provide a safer, quieter and more comfortable place to get well and offer more space for family and friends to be involved as needed.

From the founding of Inland Hospital in 1943, nearly every major advance in the organization has been made possible thanks to the generosity of our community.

This effort is no exception, and people’s support of the Fall Pops Concert shows us they care about the future of health care in Waterville.
