AUGUSTA — Incumbent City Councilor Dave Rollins was re-elected to his at-large seat Tuesday.

Rollins, 57, a real estate appraiser with his own business, held off a challenge from Harold Elliott Jr., 58, who works for VA Maine Healthcare System-Togus and previously served on the budget committee in neighboring Manchester.

Rollins, in winning election to a third term on the council, received 4,993 votes to Elliott’s 3,193 votes, according to unofficial results.

“This was a highly contested election and the key to my success was great support from my volunteers, my wife, my daughter and a slew of people who went to work to help me,” Rollins said.
