WINTHROP — Southern Maine Association of Shakespearean Homeschoolers will present a performance of “Toad of Toad Hall” at East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Augusta Road C.

The show will be presented dinner-theatre style at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16. A regular performance will be given at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. “Toad of Toad Hall” was written by A.A. Milne as a stage adaptation of the story “The Wind in the Willows” by Kenneth Grahame, based on the adventures of the character Mr. Toad.

Families are encouraged to attend. Tickets are by a suggested donation of $12 for adults, $10 for children, and $25 for families. For Friday’s performance, dinner and a show costs $30 for two or $50 for a family.

Proceeds will benefit Alison Ames and Rob Deschamps, whose Togus Pond island home in Augusta was destroyed by arson in May. Ames and Deschamps have previously provided lighting and sound for S.M.A.S.H. productions.
