ATHENS — The Athens Victory Club will sponsor their 4th Turkey Trot and pie sale Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Sites Strawberry Farm. The 5K race will start at 2 p.m. A Kids’ K for children younger than 10 will be at 2:10 p.m. A $3 registration fee will be collected beginning at 1 p.m., children younger than 10 run free of charge. Children younger than five must be accompanied by an adult.
Handmade ribbons will be awarded to the first three runners across the finish line in these categories: Male Runners, Female Runners, Walkers and Pre- High School Students. Ribbons will be awarded to all Kids’ K participants. All registered athletes will be entered into a drawing for a turkey dinner basket. There will be Dessert Pies on sale for $8 as long as they last. The races will be run rain or shine but will be canceled if there is blizzard conditions. For more information, call 654-2298.
