FARMINGTON — The UMF Concert Band, conducted by Anita Jerosch, takes the stage at 3 p.m. Saturday in Nordica Auditorium. The concert includes three landmarks of the concert band literature: Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E flat,” William Schuman’s “Chester Overture” and John Barnes Chance’s “Variations on a Korean Folk Song.” Dan Barrett, trombone instructor at the University of Maine, will be the soloist in an arrangement of Albinoni’s “Adagio” for trombone and woodwinds.

The program also features the 15-member Maine Brass Guild, made up of brass instructors from colleges statewide and local professionals.

Admission cost $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and free for children. For more information, call 778-7290.
