WATERVILLE — A Pie ‘n’ Praise Thanksgiving service of testimonies, blessings, praises and hymns will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, Marston Road.

Those who attend are asked to bring a pie (already cut).

The public is invited; nursery is provided.

UNITY — The Quaker Hill Christian Church, 437 Quaker Hill Road, will host a pastors/ministry leaders breakfast and Middle East briefing at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Special guest pastor Victor Styrsky, East Coast director of Christians United for Israel, will attend.

Thanksgiving service

set for Wednesday

OAKLAND — The Oakland Council of Churches will host an ecumenical Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oakland Sidney United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joseph Daniels from Corpus Christi Catholic Parish will deliver the message.

New minister elected at Bingham church

BINGHAM — The Rev. John B. Walsh of Rockland recently was elected as the senior pastor of First Congregational Church. Walsh has ministered in multiple locations throughout the United States and France. He has pastored in Crouseville and Old Town/Orono for three years.

Walsh has worked for a number of year in community social and crisis work. He is a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Southwestern College in Waxahachie, Texas, and University of Maine Orono with an M.Ed. in counseling education.

Walsh will reside in Bingham.

Living nativity

planned for Dec. 1

HARTLAND — “A Night In Bethlehem with a Living Nativity” is planned for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Hartland First Baptist Church, 10 Elm St.

Those who attend can sing carols, meet the Prophet Isaiah, travel through a Bethlehem Marketplace and see the Wise Men at the manger.

Sessions begin every 15 minutes and last about 30 minutes, according to a release. Last tour will be at 7:30 p.m.
