WILTON — The Franklin County USDA Local Working Group will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Town Office, Route 156. The public is encouraged to attend.
According to a press release, the group will provide recommendations to the district conservationist of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service on local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. Topics of discussion will include: ag waste, forestry, pasture and cropland. Other issues and areas of concern may be discussed as well.
The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will work with the group on priorities recognized that can not be addressed through USDA programs.
