AUGUSTA– The Michael Klahr Center on the University of Maine at Augusta campus will offer two free events Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The comic drama film “Bight Night,” starring Tony Shalhoub and Stanley Tucci as two Italian immigrant brothers, will be shown at noon.

The showing is part of the university’s year-long food film series. The film is 107 minutes and is rated R for language.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch or visit the university’s Moose Tracks Café.

The second program — The Dollars and Sense of Food — is the third and final event for the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine’s Politics of Food Discussion series. It will begin at 7 p.m.

The program will include a brief video and then focus on a discussion program with Bonnie Rukin, coordinator of Slow Money Maine, along with local farmers, who will discuss how our food gets from local farms to tables.

Both events are free and open to the public. Snacks and drinks will be provided at each and donations are welcome.
