FARMINGTON — The Farmington Rotary Club will host its annual Festival of Trees Saturday at the University of Maine at Farmington’s North Dining Hall.

According to a press release, a free public viewing of the decorated trees of all sizes, and wreaths and kissing balls, will open at noon and run through 5 p.m. Participants can bid on silent auction items and purchase raffle tickets.

Among the auction items is a Mitchell Chair, donated by W.A. Mitchell Fine Furniture.

Entertainment will begin at 1 p.m. featuring Mount Blue High School’s jazz band, Mount Blue Voices, the Chamber Singers and the Franklin County Fiddlers. There will be activities for children and hot chocolate available. The Snow Fairy Queen will be present. Happy hour begins at 5 p.m., the auction begins at 6 p.m.

A buffet will follow the auction, provided by UMF, featuring piano music by Joshua Hiltz. Cost is $30 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Farmington Rotary’s support both local and worldwide needs of children and families.
