FARMINGTON — Healthy Community Coalition will host a free landowner’s forum, as part of its Mapping Our Footsteps initiative, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the Chisholm Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The forum is an opportunity for local landowners and managers to learn more about their rights, responsibilities and the benefits of allowing public use of their lands.

Mark Latti, landowner relations/recreational access coordinator for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will speak about landowner liability laws and how local outdoor groups and organizations can work with landowners to allow public use on private land. Attendees can learn more about the initiative, mainetrail and other resources for sustainable land use.

If interested in participating, RSVP to Christine Bruen at 779-2927 or email [email protected]
