GARDINER — Mitchell Hallee scored 14 points and the MCI boys basketball team outscored Gardiner 5-2 in overtime to earn a 48-45 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win in Gardiner.

Doug Bryant added 10 points for MCI (5-6).

Tyler Jamison had a game-high 23 points, to go along with five rebounds and four assists for Gardiner (3-7). Dennis Meehan added six points, nine rebounds, three assists and four steals.

Valley 54, Greenville 44: The Cavaliers made 8 of 10 foul shots in the fourth quarter to secure the East/West Conference win in Greenville.

Carrington Miller had 20 points, 12 rebounds and six assists for Valley (9-2). Josh West added 13 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, while Dylan Belanger had 11 points and Seth Malloy 10.
Howie Stone had 20 points for Greenville (6-4).

Waterville 56, Leavitt 45: Chris Hale had 22 points as the Panthers beat the Hornets in a KVAC B game in Waterville.

Jordan Derosby added 17 points, while JP Michaud had seven points and eight rebounds and Josh Gormley had seven assists for Waterville (6-5).

Isaiah Calder had 14 points and Mitchell Davis 11 for Leavitt (3-8).

Mt. Ararat 58, Mt. Blue 38: Mt. Ararat outscored the Cougars 20-4 in the third quarter to take control of the KVAC A game in Farmington.

Shyheim Ulrickson led Mt. Ararat (5-6) with 22 points. Kindle Bonsall had 13 points for Mt. Blue (0-10).

Winslow 67, Mt. View 40: Trevor Lovely scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Raiders to a KVAC B win over the Mustangs at Thorndike.

Nason Lanphier added 16 points, along with eight assists and six steals for Winslow (9-2). Austin Ireland had eight points and 10 rebounds while Justin Martin had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Raiders.

Steven Davis had 21 points for Mt. View (1-9).

Richmond 44, Rangeley 22: The Bobcats pulled away in the fourth quarter en route to the East/West Conference win.

Cameron Emmons led Richmond with 10 points while Eddie Stewart scored nine.

Michale Haley paced rangeley with nine points. Richmond is 5-7, Rangeley is 1-7.

Girls basketball

Greenville 42, Valley 35: Olivia Bouchard and Tricia Sherman each scored 11 points to lead the Lakers to the East/West Conference win in Greenville.

Trailing 24-15 at the half, Greenville (4-7) rallied in the second half. The Lakers outscored the Cavaliers 15-3 in the fourth quarter.

Sydney Vincent had 18 points on six 3-pointers to led Valley (4-7).

Leavitt 58, Waterville 36: Meagan Dow had 19 points as the Hornets beat the Purple Panthers in a KVAC B game in Turner.

Jenna Cote and Mariah Treadwell each added 13 for Leavitt (10-1).

Colleen O’Donnell had 13 points and Alex Frame 12 for Waterville (2-9).

Gardiner 47, MCI 12: Kelly Macomber had 11 points as the Tigers beat the Huskies in a KVAC B game in Pittsfield.

Kylee Granholm added 10 points and nine steals for Gardiner (7-3).

MCI falls to 0-11.

Winslow 35, Mt. View 25: Devin Fitzgibbons scored 12 points and Alyssa Wood added eight to lead the Black Raiders to the win in Thorndike.

Courtney Morse led Mt. View with 11 points.

Boys hockey

St. Dominic 4, Waterville 1: The Saints scored four unanswered goals to beat the Panthers in an Eastern A game in Waterville on Monday.

Tommy Samson scored from Dalton Denis to give Waterville (2-7-0) a 1-0 lead. Caleb Labrie tied it before the end of the first, then Dalton Lorenz, Bryan Bonefant and Brad Berube scored for the Saints (4-3-1).

Kaleb Kane had 27 saves for Waterville, while Grant Carrier had 15 for St. Dominic.

Men’s basketball

UM-Farmington 66, Bowdoin 62: The Beavers beat the Polar Bears for the first time since 1999, Tuesday night in Farmington.

Maranacook Community High School graduate Ben Johnson scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for UMF (11-3), which snapped a 15-game losing streak against Bowdoin.

Keegan Pieri had 15 points and six rebounds in the loss for Bowdoin (9-4). Andrew Madlinger added 14 and Lucas Hausman had 13.

Women’s hockey

Holy Cross 3, Colby 1: Katie Goguen scored two third-period goals to lift the Crusaders past the Mules in Waterville.

Nicole Giannino scored in the second period to give Holy Cross (10-4-1) a 1-0 lead.
Annie Papadellis scored from Kathryn Shei for Colby (5-9-0). Brianne Wheeler had 25 saves for the Mules.
