BELFAST — Liz D’Angelo had eight of her 12 points in the third quarter as the Maranacook girls basketball team took control on its way to a 55-49 win over Belfast in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game in Belfast on Thursday.

Christine Miller added a game-high 19 points for Maranacook (7-5).

Lexi Nelligan had 13 points for Belfast (7-3).

Boothbay 47, Oak Hill 37: Morgan Crocker had 17 points as the Seahawks beat the Raiders in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Boothbay Harbor.

Sarah Caron added nine points for Boothbay (10-2).

Grace Sabine had nine points for Oak Hil (6-6).

Gardiner 37, Waterville 27: Ally Day had eight points, eight rebounds and six steals to lead the Tigers past the Purple Panthers in a KVAC B game in Gardiner.

Kelly MaComber added eight points for the Tigers (8-3).

Fotini Shanos had 11 points for Waterville (2-10).

Hall-Dale 49, St. Dom’s 33: The Bulldogs outscored the Saints 21-9 in the third quarter on their way to an MVC win in Auburn.

Nicole Pelletier and Natasha Brown each had nine points for Hall-Dale (5-6).

Kelly Pomerleau had a game-high 20 points for St. Dom’s (6-5).

Monmouth 46, Winthrop 33: Kylie Kemp scored 16 points as the Mustangs beat the Ramblers in an MVC game in Winthrop.

Melissa Brassard added 11 points for Monmouth (8-3).

Cat Ouellette had 16 points for Winthrop (1-10).

Boys basketball

Maranacook 74, Belfast 52: Kyle Boucher scored 27 points as the Black Bears improved to .500 with a KVAC B win over the Lions in Readfield.

Taylor Wilbur added 14 points and Kodey Solmitz 10 for Maranacook (6-6).

Ryan Rice had 15 points for Belfast (5-5).

St. Dom’s 54, Hall-Dale 49, OT: The Saints outscored the Bulldogs 8-3 in overtime en route to the MVC win in Auburn.

Matt Dyer scored 14 points off the bench to lead St. Dom’s (5-6) while Zak Johnson added 13 points.

Michael Woods led Hall-Dale (6-5) with 20 points while teammate Brian Allen scored 10.

Women’s basketball

Thomas 58, MMA 53: The Terriers rallied from 15 points down at halftime to beat the Mariners in a North Atlantic Conference game in Waterville.

Thomas (4-10, 3-6 in the conference) trailed by as much as 16 points in the first half. MMA (6-8, 4-5 in the conference) jumped out to the lead thanks to 10 points in the first half by Messalonskee graduate Mary Badeen, who finished with 15.

Messalonskee graduate Megan Pelletier had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Thomas. Gardiner graduate Katie McAllister added 14 points.

Husson 65, UM-Farmington 63: Kenni Norton hit a 3-pointer with nine seconds left in regulation as the Beavers forced overtime, but the Eagles outscored the Beavers in OT to earn the win in Farmington.

Kelli Murray scored three points in overtime for Husson (5-9, 5-4 in the conference) and finished with 12 points. Stephanie Comstock led the Eagles with 22 points. Victoria McIntyre also had 12 points.

Lindsay Ranquist had 13 and Norton 12 for UMF (5-9, 5-4 in the conference).

Men’s basketball

UM-Augusta 82, NMCC 54: Lawrence High School graduate Keith Chesley had 36 points as the Moose cruised to a win in Augusta.

Garrett Alley added 18 points and Emmitt Faulkner 10 for UMA (8-10, 7-5 in the Yankee Small College Conference).

Nick McIntosh had 14 points, while Reid Clark and Pat Goodall both had 11 for NMCC (0-9, 0-8 in the conference).

Adam Carlsen and Jarrad DeVaughan both added 12 points for Thomas (6-7). Franklin Salvador chipped in with 11.
